30 x 30

Those who know me know that I love setting personal goals. I love lists and crossing achievements off my lists. Most of all, I know that writing down and being constantly faced with your goals forces you to keep them front of mind, which likens your chances of achieving them. So when Katelyn introduced her idea of creating a list of 30 things she wants to do before 30, I jumped on board and created my own 30 by 30 list. I’m 25 years old now, so I have a few years to complete my list.
My 30×30:
- Find a place to live where I’m happy
- Travel overseas
- Earn over $50,000 annually
- Be happy with my career
- Have a crazy adventure
- Parasail
- Take a road trip – complete with crazy photos
- Have a creative outlet (currently my blog)
- Make a gingerbread vineyard
- Learn a craft
- Learn another language
- Ride in a hot air balloon
- Have an uncontrollable giggling fit at a really bad time
- Be in a key leadership position
- See at least one play every year
- Have a regular (i.e., monthly, bimonthly) meetup (i.e., brunch, drinks) with friends
- Learn to tango
- Take a spontaneous weekend trip
- Own a pair of designer shoes
- Buy stock
- Read all of the books on my bookshelf
- Have over $10,000 in savings
- Drink the mini bottle of absinthe I’ve had for five years
- Participate in a protest
- Scuba dive
- Grow and eat my own food
- Win a contest or bet
- See the northern lights
- See a wild otter up close and personal
- Surf again
As I accomplish each goal, I write update this page to reflect that achievement. If you have any questions – or want to help me achieve my goals – please let me know. Feel free to create your own – you don’t have to be under 30 – and share yours!
